Give the boy - important choice
Mission: The Count of Paris
Choice: Your duel with Count Odo will be interrupted by a truce between King Charles and Siegfried. During the cut-scene, the king will tell you to bring his son. The choices are:
- You may have the boy;
- I will not hand over the boy.
Impact on the game: None, exactly the same thing happens.
Fighting with Siegfried - important choice
Mission: Skal.
Choice: During the feast, you must go to Siegfried and talk to him. You can choose:
- Your problem is yourself;
- You leave me no choice but to kill you.
Impact on the game: If you choose the second option, you will start a fight. After a while, however, Siegfried will stop fighting and walk away. He will do the same if you choose the first option, but in that case, he won't fight you.
Kill or spare Charles - important choice
Mission: The Madness of King Charles.
Choice: Kill or spare Charles
Impact on the game:
According to the game, killing Charles the Fat is treated as a bad ending. You will defeat him in the final mission, called The Madness of King Charles. He will not want to talk to you. The king will attack Eivor immediately as soon as he sees them.
After this ending, Odo takes over in France and Toka takes Siegfried's place. She will be your ally. Only Queen Richardis will resent you.
However, the king can be saved. All you have to do is open the metal bars - use the lever that is on the wall. After the second stun, throw the king behind the bars and then close them. The king will be locked, but alive.
After this ending, Odo also takes over in France, and Toka takes Siegfried's place. She will be your ally. Also, Queen Richardis will be pleased with this turn of events.
