Enshrouded PC

Enshrouded is a combination of an RPG and survival game. It was developed by Keen Games, also responsible for Portal Knights.

Plot

Enshrouded is set in a fantasy land of Embervale. Years ago, its powerful mages caused a disaster that ruined the world, shrouding it in darkness and overrunning it with mutated beasts. Fortunately, all is not yet lost. The game's protagonist, the Flameborn, sets out on a journey to light the ancient flame anew and restore Embervale to glory.

Mechanics

Enshrouded makes use of the third-person perspective. The gameplay revolves around survival. The player traverses the vast open world, on the land or in the air, finding resources, facing dangers, exploring dense forests, tall mountains, dry deserts and dark caves.

Resources can be used to craft better equipment (such as weapons, armor and clothes) and build structures (ranging from simple shacks to massive fortresses). When creating our base we must bear in mind we won't live there alone - soon enough NPCs will start seeking refuge there, offering unique services and items in return.

The player will also encounter numerous monsters in dynamic battles. They can be dispatched with melee weapons, archery or magic. Aside from regular enemies, like beasts or hostile humans, we'll also face powerful, difficult bosses. Progressing through the game lets us develop our character, unlock new skills, upgrade already known abilities and face greater challenges.

Game modes

Enshrouded supports singleplayer and multiplayer for up to 16 people.

Technical aspects

Enshrouded makes use of colorful, appealing, voxel-based graphics.
