In the game options of Songs of Conquest you can find useful settings that can make certain aspects of the game easier or allow skip unwanted elements. On this page we describe the most important options in the Gameplay tab. Additionally, you can find out more about options available in the pause menu.

Pause menu

1 - Songs of Conquest: Menu - Basics - Songs of Conquest Guide
  1. At any moment during the game, you can press ESC to bring up the pause menu. Here you'll see primarily buttons responsible for saving your progress and we describe this topic in more detail on How to save the game? page of our guide.
  2. You can additionally go to options menu and bring up Tutorials & Codex. Tutorials explain all the basic and the more advanced mechanics of the game. They are divided into categories such as combat or settlement development. On the other hand, the Codex lists, describes, and provides data on topics such as spells, Wielders, military units, faction buildings, and skills. This way you can analyze the information provided without having the particular Wielder, troop, or building currently in possession or equipped.
  3. The last two options are for exiting the game - you can return to the main menu or straight to desktop. Remember to save your current progress before exiting.

Gameplay tab

2 - Songs of Conquest: Menu - Basics - Songs of Conquest Guide
  1. Gameplay is the most important tab of the options menu. You can bring it up from the pause menu or from the main menu.
  2. In the Gameplay screen you will find a lot of different settings and some of them can be important. We list them below.

Show wielder movement range

With this option enabled, you'll see your maximum range of movement marked with a green border. - Songs of Conquest: Menu - Basics - Songs of Conquest Guide
With this option enabled, you'll see your maximum range of movement marked with a green border.
  1. This option is disabled by default. However, it is quite useful for planning your characters' travels. Once it is selected, the Campaign Map will show a green line signifying the maximum movement range of the wielder.

Show last battle kill in slowmotion

3 - Songs of Conquest: Menu - Basics - Songs of Conquest Guide
  1. This option is enabled by default. It makes the final death from the battle be delivered in a spectacular way (with slow-mo). However, after some time (and many fights) it can get boring (or even annoying). That's why it's a good idea to keep in mind that you can turn it off.

Camera follows visible enemies

4 - Songs of Conquest: Menu - Basics - Songs of Conquest Guide
  1. We advise you to always have this option enabled. With it, the camera will automatically center on the enemy army as it makes its move. This will lower the risk of enemy Wielder approaching unseen to your settlement or hero, resulting in a nasty surprise.

Auto equip stronger artifacts

In the final missions of each campaign, you may already have a lot of items in your inventory. - Songs of Conquest: Menu - Basics - Songs of Conquest Guide
In the final missions of each campaign, you may already have a lot of items in your inventory.
  1. Exploration and traversing the world will result in numerous artifacts collected. If your wielder has an empty space to equip the item, they will do so automatically. Otherwise, you will have to equip it yourself.
  2. A way to reduce manual inventory management is the option to automatically equip more powerful artifacts. This will make the game equip them for you. This won't relieve the player of having to browse his inventory, but will surely make micromanagement easier.

Reset campaign progress

5 - Songs of Conquest: Menu - Basics - Songs of Conquest Guide
  1. Completing story missions does not prevent you from replaying them. You can replay already passed campaign missions, to, for example, approach the scenario differently or set a higher difficulty level.
  2. However, if you feel like completing a given campaign completely from scratch, you can Reset Campaign Progress. The two buttons at the end of the list are for this purpose - one for restarting campaigns and a separate one for resetting player statistics (wins, loses, played sessions, etc.)
