Warrior Lae'zel is one of the first companions you will join forces with while traversing the Sword Coast. The strict and cold woman will open up to a closer relationship with the main character if you decide to follow some of the tips on this page.

How to unlock a romance with Lae'zel?

1. Lae'zel will be the first companion to join you during the escape from the Illithid ship. During the opening sequence of the game, at some point a dialogue scene will trigger and the Githyanki woman will join you.
2. The ship crash will temporarily separate you from Lae'zel. You will find the warrior again in a small alley, near the entrance to the Druid Grove. The woman was captured by a group of Tieflings. You can free her by killing the attackers or by talking to the bandits and tricking them. To get Lae'zel out of the cage, use an attack or ranged spell to destroy the rope or the bottom of the cage.
3. The warrior Lae'zel values decisiveness and displays of strength. To gain her sympathy, make sure that your hero is dominant, aggressive and tenacious. The Githyanki woman will also appreciate situations in which you acknowledge she is right, and also show sympathy for her race.
4. Similarly, if you want a good relationship with Lae'zel, you should clearly avoid peaceful solutions, showing weakness, siding with weaker people, or showing any hostility towards the Githyanki race.
5. In the early stages of the game, Lae'zel will be hostile towards Shadowheart. It is possible to reconcile them later, but if you don't want to lose positive relations with the warrior, try to choose her side during the quarrels.
6. If your relationship level with Lae'zel is high enough, talking to the woman while resting in the camp will allow you to ask about her attitude towards you. You will also be able to express your desire to spend the night together. This option should also be available during the camp celebration, after saving the Druid Grove.
7. If you continue to work on your relationship in act 2, Lae'zel will wake you up from your sleep one night and propose a duel. Regardless of the outcome, the woman will confess her love to you, which can lead to a kiss.
8. The decisions made in act 3 will determine the future fate of Lae'zel. If you continue her story arc and convince her to refuse Queen Vlakkith's offer, your romance arc with the Githyanki warrior will culminate in a romantic scene at dawn.
