Eve's combat potential and abilities in Stellar Blade can be enhanced with exospines and gear. On this guide page, you will find recommendations for the best gear, as well as tips on how to unlock new gear slots. This will ultimately allow you to have 2 active exospines and 4 pieces of gear.

How to unlock additional gear slots?

1. Initially, you only have 1 out of 4 gear slots at your disposal. You have to unlock the next three slots on your own.
2. Find Omnibolts - this is a rare category of loot that can be found in containers.

1. Once you got a few Omnibolts, return to one of the supply camps. After using the repair console, you can spend 3 Omnibolts to unlock a new slot.

Recommended gear for EVE

Below you will find a list of recommended gear. They can come in various quality - the more stars a given piece of gear has, the better its performance. Look for better versions of your favorite gear.

1. Combat Supply Gear - EVE can regain some health for each eliminated opponent. This is a good method of regeneration, especially during fights with groups of weaker monsters.
2. Training Gear - By equipping it, you can accumulate more XP and gain development points faster.
3. Protection Gear - EVE can receive less damage from enemy attacks. This will increase your chances of survival.
4. Shield Enhancement Gear - You can strengthen EVE's shield, which, of course, will grant you additional protection.
5. Beta Enhancement Gear - This equipment allows you to increase the attack power of Beta skills, i.e. special attacks available early in the game.
6. Perfect Combat Gear - You can deal more damage if EVE's health is high. There is also similar gear for low health levels.

How to unlock the second exospine slot?

1. By default, there is only 1 Exospine slot available. The second slot remains locked.
2. You need to advance in the main storyline. After visiting Abyss Levoire in the Great Desert, you will start the Orcal's Testimony main quest. Return to the landing site in Xion and talk with Lily - this will unlock access to the second slot. From now on, EVE can have 2 different Exospines active.

Recommended exospines for EVE

1. Burst Trance-Type Exospine - It is related to the Burst tree, which you will unlock later in the game. It allows you to use very powerful special attacks and you can also enhance their effect. Additionally, the maximum limit of Burst energy will be increased.

1. Impact-Type Exospine - It's a good Exospine for offensive. It can increase the chance of critical hits. Additionally, at the moment of a critical hit, a wave of energy can be sent out to the surrounding enemies to inflict additional damage.

1. Reflex-Type Exospine - This Exospine can make it even easier for you to perform perfect parries and dodges, because it will increase the margin of error. Additionally, blocking can regenerate the shield faster.

1. Chain-Type Exospine - It is worth using this Exospine in the initial phase of the game. It can increase the damage done by combos, as well as make critical hits deal more damage.
