Abilities are very important in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. You will gain them by collecting books of knowledge found during exploration. On this page of our guide, you will find the location of all the books of knowledge for melee combat as well as descriptions of abilities.

Vengeance of Thor

Location of the book of knowledge: Glowecestrescire, the central part of the region.

Usage: focus all your strength into one unblockable attack. The longer you charge the attack, the more damage it will do.

Throwing Axe Fury

Location of the book of knowledge: Sciropescire, southwestern end of the map.

Usage: the character throws axes at every enemy in the area.

Rage of Helheim

Location of the book of knowledge: Jorvik, southwestern part of the town.

Usage: release your anger to knock an enemy down. You will be able to perform a series of attacks.

Kick of Tyr

Location of the book of knowledge: Eurvicscire, in the eastern part of the map.

Usage: you push enemies and stun them for a few seconds.

Feign Death

Location of the book of knowledge: Oxenefordscire, on the left side of the map, in the enemy camp.

Usage: you can pretend to be dead and attack by surprise.

Blinding Rush

Location of the book of knowledge: Eastern England, the northern part of the location.

Usage: Blinding rush allows you to move unnoticed.

Dive of the Valkyries

Location of the knowledge book: Cent, the northern part of the map.

Usage: you jump on your enemies and deal them stun damage.

Rush & Bash

Location of the book of knowledge: Grantebridgescire, in the southern part of the map, near Meldeburne.

Usage: grab an opponent and run into the wall/chasm with them.

Harpoon Impalement

Location of the book of knowledge: Ledecestrescire, in the southern part of the map, in Venonis.

Usage: thanks to the Harpoon Impalement, you can grab an enemy and throw them in any direction.

Poison Strike

How to get: give Hytham the first four medallions of the members of the Order of the Ancients.

Usage: it covers your weapon with poison allowing you to inflict poison on every enemy you hit.

Fire Strike

How to get: bringing another four medallions of the Order of the Ancients to Hytham.

Usage: it sets your weapon on fire; enemies that get hit with it will receive damage over time.
